I need your help please

November 24, 2007 Leave a comment Go to comments

If you have a moment, I would love to hear how you consume media.

  • Do you read headlines online?
  • Do you pay for a Wall Street Journal.com subscription?
  • Do you get a local newspaper and rely on it for national news?
  • When was the last time you watched one of the “big three” nightly news shows?
  • Do you read blogs?
  • How do you involve yourself in the conversation?
  • Do you comment on stories?  Do you write a blog?  Do you talk with your friends?
  • Finally, if you read a story in print, what would it take for you to go online and pursue other multimedia facets?

Thanks for helping,

Tim

    Do you read headlines online?
    -Yes

Do you pay for a Wall Street Journal.com subscription?
    -No

Do you get a local newspaper and rely on it for national news?
    -Never

When was the last time you watched one of the “big three”…
-Years ago. “The News” is the worst way to get informed.

    Do you read blogs?
    -YES!

How do you involve yourself in the conversation?
    -You mean comments? Not usually.

Do you comment on stories? Do you write a blog? Do you talk with your friends?
-Sometimes; Yes, but not news-related; I try to stay away from news and politics, as they generally lead to everyone being annoyed without gaining any helpful conclusions

Finally, if you read a story in print, what would it take for you to go online and pursue other multimedia facets?
-I don’t think I’ve ever sat down and read a newspaper in my life, but I’m alway surfing the interblags so mutimedia is kind of how I think.

I hope that was helpful and what you were looking for. And I hope you’re doing well. It’s always a treat to read you blog, keep it up!

    Do you read headlines online?
    – A BIG YES

Do you pay for a Wall Street Journal.com subscription?
    – Hell No

Do you get a local newspaper and rely on it for national news?
    – Hahahah…um no

When was the last time you watched one of the “big three”…
    – When I was drunk in a bar a couple of weeks ago.

    Do you read blogs?
    – Just yours.

How do you involve yourself in the conversation?
    – Comments mostly.

Do you write a blog? Do you talk with your friends?
    – No blog, but I talk to friends about the interesting things.

Finally, if you read a story in print, what would it take for you to go online and pursue other multimedia facets?
    – All it takes is for it to intrigue me. I love looking online for those extra details. God bless the net!

    Do you read headlines online?

    Yes – daily.

Do you pay for a Wall Street Journal.com subscription?

    No.

Do you get a local newspaper and rely on it for national news?

Yes, I get a local paper and TRY to read it every day. I do not rely on it for national news, as their national news coverage is sparse, to say the least. I use it for local news, sports, and weather.

When was the last time you watched one of the “big three” nightly news shows?

A couple of weeks ago, to see if Katie Couric is really “that bad”. She’s not, but the news is.

    Do you read blogs?

Obviously, Tim. Seriously, yes, a few. Uuslly hobby, sports, or political based.

How do you involve yourself in the conversation?

I try and speak the loudest and interupt whenever I can. And I use “shut up” a lot.

Do you comment on stories? Do you write a blog? Do you talk with your friends?

Yes. Kinda – I have a thread on a reef keeping forum. Not as often as I should.

Finally, if you read a story in print, what would it take for you to go online and pursue other multimedia facets?

If the story interested me enough to learn more, or enraged me enough to want to take action. Or if it was an older story and I was looking for an update. Or if I needed to try and verify some of the facts listed in the story. Or if they were offering free Viagra for logging in for more information. That would work.
